It is estimated that over $2 billion people in the world remain unbanked, and millions of others are underbanked, indicating an untapped demographic for financial services.  We have seen developments in countries like India and Sub-Saharan Africa push toward digital banking and mobile technologies to drive financial inclusion.  In this session we explore how digital money trends like p2p lending, data analytics, mobile banking, and blockchain have helped global communities gain access and lower barriers to financial services.  What global opportunities have we seen for technology companies serving this demographic?  What are the biggest challenges that companies face in deploying fintech to these communities?   Where are the areas ripe for disruption and how have banks and major financial institutions adapted?
