GIDEON SAMID is the inventor of BitMint – Non-Speculative Digital Currency, which won First Prize in an International Contest. He specializes in cyber security, cryptography, artificial intelligence, and the general theory of innovation. Gideon serves as the Chief Technology Officer for BitMint, LLC, and for AGS Encryptions Ltd. His recent focus is designing a comprehensive framework for global digital currency – banking and payment: cryptographic protocols, online, and off-line payment interchange, and chemical cryptography. Professor Samid writes a monthly column for Digital Transactions Magazine. He authored the critically acclaimed technology books Elsevier publisher: “Tethered Money — Managing Digital Currencies”, “The Unending CyberWar”, “Computer-Organized Cost Engineering” and “The Innovation Turing Machine,” as well as dozens of peer-reviewed technical articles. He teaches computer security and cryptography at the University of Maryland UC, and is a researcher at the Department of Electrical Engineering And Computer Science, Case Western Reserve University. Prof. Samid earned his three academic degrees at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. He claims several pending patents, and three granted US patents #6,823,068, #8,229,859, #9,471,906. Earlier in his career Gideon worked for NASA, The Pentagon, and Exxon.
