After its launch, Nigeria’s eNaira digital currency had an embarrassing first week. Its Android wallet was deleted only days after launch. This was the first attempt at a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) in Africa.
The main issue for the embarrassment is that the eNaira mobile app wasn’t working well.
